Good Neighbor

The Good Neighbor Healthy Heart Screening program gives local businesses and community organizations the opportunity to be a "good neighbor" by offering heart screening services to the community.

Sponsoring a Good Neighbor Healthy Heart Screening Event is a great way to show that heart health is a priority to your community.

The CAS Foundation Teams up with:

  • Individual Schools and School Districts, School Committees, Colleges, PTOs, PTAs, Youth Clubs, Centers, and Organizations, to offer screenings exclusive to students or open to the entire community.
  • Athletic Organizations, Teams, Boosters Clubs, Health and Fitness Clubs, and Recreational Departments/Facilities for their members or the public.
  • Towns, Boards of Health, Civic Groups, Women's Clubs, Church Groups, Synagogues, Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Non-profits, and other Community Organizations for their members and families or their entire community.
  • Small Businesses, Large Corporations, and other Institutions to offer screenings to their employees and families. Companies can also help to sponsor screenings in their local area, as a means to promote the health and well-being of their community.

The Program:

The Good Neighbor Healthy Heart Screening program is designed to detect the heart abnormalities that lead to sudden cardiac arrest.  The program consist of:

  • an electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • a blood pressure reading
  • a personal and family heart health questionnaire
  • a Body Mass Index (BMI) analysis

The Process:

  • Convenient, anytime, online pre-registration makes it easy to schedule an appointment.
  • At check-in, there's no filling out forms since you're already registered. Get a quick blood pressure reading and . . .
  • . . . Step into a private screening room where an ECG technician takes a 'snapshot' of the heart's electrical activity (females are always screened by female technicians).

That's it.  You're done.

  • Most people are screened in 10 minutes.
  • A results letter is mailed within 10-15 days.
  • The results will either indicate no current ECG evidence of heart problems, or may indicate a need to consult a doctor for further guidance.

Benefits of Participation:

  • Be part of a program that save lives, prevents grief, adds to the literature and creates American based science.
  • Be a part of the country's largest heart screening program for the prevention of sudden unexpected death by sudden cardiac arrest of the adolescent and youth population of America.
  • The ability to say and literally mean it, "We Save Lives"
  • The "GOOD NEIGHBOR INITIATIVE" is a cause and cause marketing is the hottest segment of the Sponsorship and/or Partnership alliances that creates diverse benefits for all partners and added value to engaged communities.

How to Get Started:

The Good Neighbor Healthy Heart program can be as large or as small as your organization desires. Our minimum setup, in which we ask for a minimum contribution of $1,000.00, is as follows:

  • 4-hour screening (for one day)
  • One private screening room
  • Two ECG technicians
  • A maximum of 24 people screened (no charge to the individuals)

The CAS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, and as such, contributions are necessary to continue to offer our programs and services.  Contributions made to the CAS Foundation are tax deductible.
